On July 31, the OSHORO MARU returned to her home port in Hakodate after completing her Arctic voyage. Chief scientist and Associate Professor Matsuno, Assistant Professor Son and Professor Nomura with the students from the University of Hawaiʻi returned safely after successfully completing the cruise. They all took part in the homecoming ceremony. The Hokkaido University Cheer Squad from Sapporo also came to welcome them back and thank the crew for their hard work during the voyage.
