Today at 3:00 p.m., the T/S OSHORO MARU departed on a 40-day Arctic research and education cruise amid warm send-offs from many faculty, staff, students, and family members.

Associate Prof. Matsuno and Project Associate Prof. Kawakami boarded the vessel in Hakodate. Project Assistant Professor Son, Professor Nomura, and students from the University of Hawaiʻi will join the cruise in Nome, Alaska.
